Simon deals with the defence of large loss and catastrophic injury claims involving employers' liability, public liability and road traffic accidents with extensive experience in dealing with Animals Acts claims.
Simon also advises upon policy coverage and indemnity issues.
Experience
- Representing insurers in respect of numerous large loss and catastrophic injury claims with a value in excess of GBP 350,000
- Defending a claim for serious spinal injuries where surveillance evidence showed the claimant to be far less disabled than he alleged and achieving a settlement well below the sum claimed
- Using ADR to settle claims to include Joint Settlement Meetings and Mediation
- Delivering talks to insurer's on various topics including Ogden 7 and the Animals Act
