Sophie is an Associate in the Marine, Trading and Commodities team.
Sophie advises on a broad range of marine insurance and commercial matters, including cargo recovery, subrogated recoveries, marine liability, insurance coverage and cross-border claims.
She regularly advises insurers, brokers and assureds on liability and coverage issues, and acts in disputes arising from marine casualties, cargo losses and other complex insurance claims. She has experience assisting clients through litigation, mediation and alternative forms of dispute resolution.
Sophie has particular experience in international matters, working closely with clients and local counsel across a number of multi-jurisdictional claims, recoveries and insurance disputes. Prior to qualification, Sophie completed a six-month secondment in the Tanzania office, working with clients and local counsel on a range of contentious and advisory matters and gaining valuable experience of cross-border legal practice.
Sophie is based in the London office and works closely with Craig Bird, Partner, and other colleagues across the Marine, Trading and Commodities team.
