Emily Jakus is an associate in the Calgary office with a focus on commercial, civil and insurance litigation. She represents clients on a variety of litigation matters, including construction, negligence, product liability and professional liability.
Based in Calgary, Emily maintains a broad practice in commercial, civil and insurance litigation, including construction, negligence, product liability and professional liability. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.
Prior to rejoining Clyde & Co as an associate, Emily completed her articles at the firm. She attended law school at the University of Calgary, where she gained invaluable experience in advocacy while participating in the Gale Cup Moot and the McGillivray Moot. Moreover, she was a member of the editorial board for the Alberta Law Review. In addition, Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in forensic investigations with a focus on crime and intelligence analysis from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
She is proficient in Polish and is known for her attention to detail and analytical approach to moving files along and advocating for her clients.
