Michał’s experience comprises advising on acquisition, asset, cross-border, general corporate, project, real estate and trade finance. He represents both lenders and sponsors in financings and refinancings, negotiating facility agreements, intercreditor agreements and security documents.
Recently Michał became more focused on RES financings in particular financings for the construction and development of wind and PV farms. He represented an international RES sponsor in one of the first financings for the construction and development of wind farms located in Poland supported by a foreign export credit agency.
Michał also specialises in non-contentious and consensual restructurings representing clients from across all sectors negotiating standstill and restructuring agreements. He participated in many complex financial restructurings including the representation of a consortium of Polish banks in a restructuring considered to be one of the most complicated and dynamic cases in Poland in recent years.
Michał is recognised by international legal directories and rankings such as Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000 and is described by his clients as “a great lawyer with lots of experience” as well as “a very proactive person with strong interpersonal skills."
Michał is admitted as an attorney-at-law in Poland. Prior to joining Clyde & Co he worked at leading international and Polish law firms. He graduated from the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law as well as the Banking & Finance Faculty of the Warsaw School of Economics.
