• Advising local and multinational companies on market entry, corporate structuring, establishment, and ongoing business operations in Tanzania. 
• Assisting in advising a multibillion-shilling listed company on complex corporate restructuring matters, including liquidation proceedings and capital restructuring. 
• Providing Tanzanian law advice on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional corporate and commercial matters involving local and international stakeholders. 
• Working closely with legal counsel across multiple African jurisdictions to coordinate and deliver regulatory advice to multinational clients on cross-border operations, market expansion, and compliance matters. 
• Managing company secretarial portfolios for local and multinational companies, including statutory compliance, regulatory filings before BRELA, maintenance of statutory registers, and the administration of board and shareholder meetings. 

Data Protection

• Advising clients on compliance with the personal data protection laws of Tanzania, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and other applicable data protection frameworks, providing practical and risk-based regulatory guidance. 
• Assisting organisations with registration as data controllers and data processors with the Personal Data Protection Commission (the Commission) and acting as a liaison between clients and the Commission. 
• Advising a multinational company on a data breach incident including data breach assessment. 
• Advising on international and cross-border transfers of personal data, including transfer mechanisms, adequacy considerations, and the implementation of appropriate safeguards. 
• Drafting and reviewing data protection policies, personal data sharing agreements, data processing agreements, privacy notices, consent mechanisms, and other data governance documentation. 

Intellectual Property

• Advising local and multinational clients on the protection, management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. 
• Managing trademark registration, renewal, recordal, and prosecution processes before the relevant intellectual property authorities in Tanzania Mainland, Zanzibar, and various foreign jurisdictions. 
• Assisting clients with the registration and protection of trademarks in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and other international markets. 
• Drafting and reviewing intellectual property agreements, including trademark assignment agreements, intellectual property transfer documents, licence agreements, and related commercial arrangements. 
• Advising on the acquisition, transfer, assignment, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property assets, including trademarks and other proprietary rights.
