Tannie is an aviation lawyer with nearly 20 years’ of experience in litigation and disputes resolution including 14 years focused on trade and transport. He is admitted in New South Wales, Australia and is based in our Hong Kong office. Tannie’s responsibilities in the firm’s aviation team spans across the whole of the Asia Pacific.

Tannie has extensive experience in aviation disputes, passenger claims, regulatory compliance and legal risk management. Having worked across private practice and both in-house legal and operational roles for one of the world’s leading airlines, Tannie brings a distinctive combination of legal expertise and substantial airline-side experience.

Having worked closely in both legal and operational functions, Tannie has first-hand insight into the complex legal, commercial and practical considerations that airlines and other aviation clients face when responding to both contentious and non-contentious matters.

This combination of private practice and industry experience enables Tannie to approach aviation matters from both a legal and practical perspective. He understands how legal and regulatory developments can affect day-to-day airline operations, customer response and reputational risk and provides practical, commercially focused advice that reflects the realities of operating in a highly regulated and customer-facing industry.
