Paddy, a Chartered Accountant by profession, is an experienced and skilled operations and finance professional, with over 35 years’ experience of operational and financial control, defining strategy and managing major business transformation programmes for large global organisations in the Legal Services sector. He joined Clyde & Co in 2010 based in London.
As Chief Operating Officer at Clyde & Co, he focussed upon business development and change initiatives, concentrating on the integration of technology, culture, and processes to leverage, improve and grow operations.
Since 2020 he has led the development of Clyde & Co’s Global Environmental Social & Governance Strategy which has seen the strategic positioning leapfrog from being an approach which was precautionary to one which is ambitious and market leading. He was appointed as Clyde & Co’s first Chief Sustainability Officer in 2023.
Over the course of the last 20 years, he has also been actively involved in a volunteering capacity in trustee roles, supporting wildlife and conservation charities, together with LawWorks, the Solicitors Pro Bono Group and the General Counsel Sustainability Forum. He received the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2011 Pro Bono Awards in London.
In addition to being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), he is an alumnus of Oxford Said Business School’s Scenarios Programme, an affiliate member of the Institute of Sustainability & Environment Professionals (ISEP) and is recognised as an ESG Ambassador by Legal ESG.
He is Co-Chair of the Legal Sustainability Alliance (LSA), Co-Chair of the Bar Sustainability Network and sits on the Sustainability Advisory Board for the Centre for Synchronous Leadership's Agents of Change initiative. He was named as a Top 100 Change Leader by We Make Change at the Blue Earth Summit in 2025.
