Full Profile
Zizheng Li is an Associate in the Singapore Energy, Marine and Natural Resources team. He is qualified to practice law in Singapore and England & Wales. Zizheng has experience handling a wide range of complex international disputes, in both court and international arbitration proceedings. He has appeared before the Singapore Court of Appeal, the Singapore High Court, the Singapore International Commercial Court, as well as in arbitrations administered by the SIAC and the ICC. He has also handled non-contentious matters including the review of sale and purchase agreements and financing agreements.
Zizheng is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Experience
- Defending the controlling shareholder of Southeast Asian renewable energy company in disputes over US$525 million in ICC Arbitrations.
- Defending the subsidiary of a major Chinese state-owned mining company in disputes over US$500 million in SIAC Arbitrations involving oil & gas contracts.
- Acting and advising the co-founder of a leading Southeast Asian healthcare provider in settling an over-US$260 million dispute in SIAC Arbitrations.
- Representing the Claimant in DMZ v DNA [2025] SGHC 31 and the subsequent appeal to the Singapore Court of Appeal in DMZ v DNA [2025] SGCA 52.
