Helen Monachan is an Associate in our Cyber team in London, advising clients on cyber incident response, data protection law and regulatory compliance.

Helen has significant experience supporting organisations through the full lifecycle of cyber incidents, including ransomware attacks, unauthorised access events and data breaches. She routinely advises on UK GDPR notification obligations, including Articles 33 and 34, and engages with key UK regulators such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). She also supports clients managing cross-border incidents, coordinating with local counsel to ensure consistent and compliant global response strategies.

In addition to incident response, Helen advises on cyber readiness and resilience, including the review of incident response plans, tabletop exercises, training and simulated breach scenarios.
