Jeremy is a construction and infrastructure lawyer whose practice covers every stage of a project. He acts in lien, delay, deficiency, payment and fee claims through negotiation, adjudication, mediation, arbitration and litigation, and has particular experience with Ontario's Construction Act, including its holdback, prompt payment and adjudication regimes. He also drafts and negotiates construction, design and services agreements, including CCDC and CCA standard forms, EPC contracts and supplementary conditions, and advises on procurement and project delivery structures.
He acts for owners, contractors, consultants and industry associations, and serves as general counsel to a national construction trade association. His experience spans public infrastructure and rail, cultural institutions, hospitality, water and wastewater, and renewable energy, with clients across Canada and the United States.
Before joining Clyde & Co, Jeremy practised in the construction groups of two Toronto firms, worked in the Toronto office of a US construction law firm and served as General Counsel to a construction technology company applying AI to risk management and contract administration. That in-house experience informs a practical, commercially minded approach and a continuing interest in the use of AI in construction and legal practice.
