Yuliia Pavlova is a juriste in the International Arbitration practice of the Paris office. She specialises in commercial and investor–state arbitration, as well as complex cross-border litigation.
Yuliia regularly represents sovereign states, as well as private and state-owned entities, in complex disputes across a range of industries, including oil and gas, construction, commodities, and pharmaceuticals. She has acted as counsel in proceedings conducted under various institutional rules, including those of the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, and FOSFA, advising clients across Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas.
Before joining Clyde & Co, Yuliia honed her skills within the International Arbitration groups of prominent international law firms in Paris and at leading Ukrainian law firms.
She is admitted to Ukrainian bar.
Yuliia holds a master’s degree from Geneva LL.M in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS), and a master’s degree in international law from Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
She works in French, English, Ukrainian and Russian.

- Representing an Eastern European State in the annulment proceedings of an arbitral award before the Paris Court of Appeal.
- Representing an Easter European State in an ECT arbitration under SCC rules related to a gas supply agreement.
- Representing a European government in an ICC arbitration relating to concession agreements pertaining to three key hospitals.
- Representing an American investor in an ICSID arbitration relating to a concession agreement against a South American State.
- Representing an Eastern European investor in an ICSID arbitration against a European State relating to a steel mill factory purchase.
- Representing a Central Asian state in a negotiation over oil field exploration.
- Representing an international food & agro company in FOSFA arbitration in relation to a vegetable oil supply contract, governed by English law.
