Diana Rendón is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Mexico City office with over 10 years of experience. Diana provides legal advice to domestic and foreign insurance companies and reinsurers, including coverage analysis, regulatory and contractual matters across several lines of business. Diana also provides legal advice in settlement negotiations; policy wordings for the market in Mexico; guidance and assistance to international reinsurers for registration and other consultations with the Insurance Authority in Mexico. Support is also provided in insurance litigation.
Diana has extensive experience providing legal assistance in cybersecurity incidents, including acting as breach counsel, coverage counsel and privacy laws advisor. Diana also regularly supports insureds, insurers, and/or reinsurers in cyber crisis management, in handling communications with insureds as first responders, in coordinating vendors as required, in insurance policy interpretation and coverage assessment, and providing advice on data privacy/personal data protection laws. Diana completed a secondment in the San Francisco office to gain deeper insight into the international market best practices for cyber incident response, insurance coverage, and regulatory compliance.
Diana also holds a degree in Accounting and received her LLM in Insurance Law from UConn School of Law.
