Jessie is a Senior Associate in the Energy, Marine and Natural Resources team in Brisbane. She has a wide range of experience including cross-border disputes, transport, shipping, insurance, regulatory matters, risk and compliance, consumer disputes, and corporate insolvency.
She has acted for clients across Australia and at all jurisdictional levels, including guiding UK and US based clients through Australia’s legal system.
Her primary focus is on litigating claims and commercial disputes in the energy, marine and natural resources sectors, as well as advising on policy coverage matters for domestic and global insurers.
Jessie also has experience in corporate insolvency and advising financial services companies in respect of regulatory investigations and inquiries, including spending time placed in-house handling disputes and enacting/implementing changes following the Financial Services Royal Commission.

- Representing clients in the transport and shipping sector on cross border disputes in a broad range of claims including contractual disputes, Australian Consumer Law, and regulatory matters.
- Representing shipping company in a high-profile shipping and logistics maritime dispute.
- Representing clients in the oil and gas sector including claims involving high value contractual disputes and Australian Consumer Law.
- Advising on coverage and policy matters, including in respect of statutory obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 and regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Representing financial services companies in respect of regulatory matters involving both federal and state-based regulators in both advisory matters and litigated claims.
- Acting in defence of corporations and directors in respect of Australian Consumer Law claims including misleading and deceptive conduct claims.
- Acting for funeral product provider on its response to ASIC investigations into its operational processes and eligibility for financial services licence.
- Seconded in-house to conduct complaints handling including internal dispute resolution matters, Australian Financial Complaints Authority complaints, and advising on information requests, privacy, and compliance matters.
