Karina Sánchez is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Mexico City office with over 10 years of experience. Karina advises insurance and reinsurance companies on coverage issues across several business lines. She focuses her legal practice on complex disputes and claims involving multinational insurers and public entities and has significant experience liaising with various cedants throughout Latin America.
Karina was on secondment for three years to the firm’s London office, where she gained a better understanding of the reinsurance market and its relationship with the Latin American region. During her secondment, she worked closely with teams across various sectors and services, including International Arbitration, Energy, Construction, and Aviation. She also handled complex construction and aviation claims for government entities, multinational insurers, among others. Given her professional experience, Karina remains committed to strengthening the relations between Latin America, Mexico and the UK.
Karina received her LL.M. in Insurance Law from Queen Mary University of London.
