Louise’s practice focuses on international arbitration and cross border litigation.

She advises and represents clients in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of leading arbitral institutions (including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and DIS), in French, English and German. Her experience spans a broad range of industries, including infrastructure, construction, energy, mining, healthcare and waste management, and includes acting for sovereign States, State owned entities and private companies. She also assists clients in set aside and enforcement proceedings relating to arbitral awards before the French courts.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Louise gained experience in several leading law firms in Paris, New York and Hamburg, as well as at the ICC. She also worked at the International Commercial Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal, where she was involved in a number of set aside proceedings.

Louise was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2025. She studied in France, Germany and the United States, and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Cologne, a Master’s degree in International Law from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, and a Master’s degree in Arbitration and International Economic Law from Université Paris II Panthéon Assas.

She also teaches Contract Law as a teaching assistant at Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.

Louise holds French and German citizenship and is fluent in French, German and English.

Arbitration

  • Representing a European State in an ICC arbitration arising out of a concession agreement in the healthcare sector 
  • Representing an African company in an ICC arbitration concerning the construction of a bulk and mineral port in a West African State 
  • Representing a Congolese company in two ICC arbitrations arising out of the purchase of shares in a company engaged in mining exploration in the Democratic Republic of Congo
  • Representing a French construction company in an ICC arbitration against an African public entity arising out of the termination of a road construction contract in Central Africa 
  • Representing a French state owned industrial company in an ICC arbitration against an African state owned electricity company arising out of a technical services agreement 
  • Representing a German industrial company in a DIS arbitration against a German state owned energy company arising out of a coal supply agreement
  • Representing a German investor in the energy sector in an ICSID arbitration against a European State arising out of the phase out of coal fired power generation
  • Representing a Lebanese investor in an ICSID arbitration against the Republic of Armenia in connection with the expropriation of waste management contracts 

Litigation

  • Representing a Mongolian cement producer against a Chinese construction company in annulment proceedings against an ICC arbitral award before the Paris Court of Appeal
  • Representing a US investor active in the hydrocarbons sector against a Latin American State in annulment proceedings against an UNCITRAL arbitral award before the Paris Court of Appeal
  • Representing a French aviation company against a United Kingdom based company in connection with conservatory and enforcement measures over an aircraft before several French courts 
  • Representing a crypto asset platform in a liability claim against its staking services provider following a cyber attack affecting the staking services
