Akis is a Dikigoros (Attorney at Law) of the Supreme Court of Greece and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales.
Akis obtained his B.Sc. in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1994 and his LL.B. (Hons) from The City Law School of City, University of London in 2000.
He joined Clyde & Co in 2001 following his call to the Bar of England & Wales. He qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2003 and qualified as a Dikigoros of the Athens Bar Association in 2007.
He advises and litigates in the contentious and non-contentious aspects of inter alia Civil and Commercial Law, Insurance/Re-Insurance, Marine, Companies, Transport, Property, Domestic and International Trade.
He also advises and litigates on general commercial disputes and international transactional work. He has dealt with a wide range of cases frequently of a complex, cross-border or multi-party nature.
Akis also has considerable experience in international litigation, arbitration and mediation.
He speaks English, Greek and German.
He is a Consultant of Clyde & Co and has his own independent Greek Law practice in Athens, Greece.
