Samer has experience working on aspects of Qatar's commercial and corporate law: corporate (including M&A business start-ups, incorporation and joint ventures); commercial (including agency, distribution and franchising); and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co in 2019, Samer read law at Applied Science Private University where he received his L.L.B. Samer also has an L.L.M in the Private Law from Middle East University in Jordan. After training for two years, Samer became a member with the Jordanian Bar Association.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Samer worked as a Legal Consultant at Hassan Al Khater Law Office, working on corporate and commercial matters.

Experience

• Drafting and amending Articles of Association, Memorandums, Shareholder Resolutions and Letters of advice;
• Assisting on M&A transaction including due diligence exercises, drafting resolutions and other ancillary documents.
• Advising on local establishments including Limited Liability Company incorporations, Branch registrations, commercial representative offices, and general licencing of businesses in the State of Qatar;
• Advising clients on employment immigration matters and liaising with clients to process their residence visas and work permits; highlighting immigration risks and solutions;
• Assisting in the process of obtaining Trade Licences, Immigration Cards and general commercial and immigration matters;
• Drafting, amending and providing advice on corporate agreements;
• Providing regulatory advice to multinational companies on conducting business in Qatar bespoke to their specific company models;
