Based in the Montréal office, Vincent is an associate who mainly practises in the insurance and reinsurance industry and whose work often focuses on professional practices and regulatory. He provides insurance coverage advice in various fields, which include commercial general liability, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, employers’ liability, fiduciary liability, title insurance, property insurance, commercial crime, and carriers’ and freight brokers’ liability.
Moreover, Vincent advises insurers on regulatory compliance issues and represents clients in insurance coverage disputes and professional liability defence cases. Always willing to help others, keen-minded and able to answer the most complex legal questions in a clear way, Vincent is well respected by his peers and his clients. His rigour, bilingualism (English and French), his capacity to see matters from any angle and his knowledge of his clients’ commercial realities make him a versatile legal practitioner.
After having studied mathematics and economics, Vincent obtained his diploma in law from the University of Montréal with a mention of excellence and won the De Grandpré Chait award for his excellence in business law. He began his career at Clyde & Co as an articling student in 2019 and was admitted to the Bar in 2020. In addition, he did a secondment with the specialty claims department of a large American insurer’s Canadian branch.
Furthermore, Vincent gives trainings to his clients and colleagues on the subjects of regulatory compliance and ethics. He is a member of the Insurance Law and Civil Litigation section’s Executive Committee at the Canadian Bar Association’s Québec Branch since 2022, as well as a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
A great jazz and classical music lover and theatre enthusiast, Vincent enjoys playing piano in his spare time.
