Guillermo joined Clyde & Co’s Montreal office in the fall of 2025, after practicing in the litigation team of an international law firm, where he handled matters involving insurance, class actions, and bankruptcy and insolvency.
Guillermo has represented major Canadian and international corporations in complex litigation before first-instance and appellate courts, as well as arbitration panels.
Holding both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in comparative private law from the Université de Montréal, Guillermo also gained experience through internships at the Superior Court of Quebec with the Honourable Éric Downs and at the Court of Quebec with the Honourable Magalie Lewis.
Guillermo, who has Latin American origins, combines international experience from internships in Argentina and Mexico with strong community engagement, including pro bono work for asylum seekers in Canada that helped his former employer receive the “Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year” award.
