Full Profile

Olivia qualified into the Employment Team at Clyde & Co in September 2023, having completed a training contract with the firm.

Olivia has experience in defending Employment Tribunal claims ranging from unfair and wrongful dismissal to harassment, discrimination and whistleblowing claims. In addition to litigious matters, Olivia also has experience in non-contentious work, including conducting policy, handbook and employment contract reviews to ensure regulatory and legislative compliance, as well as advising clients on a range of employment issues from holiday pay queries to employment processes such as disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures and TUPE.

Olivia has also assisted in conducting internal investigations and culture audits on behalf of organisations.

Prior to qualifying into the employment team, Olivia gained experience in civil litigation, advising large insurers on high-value marine, healthcare and catastrophic loss claims. Olivia has since utilised her experience in civil litigation in the employment sector, to assist on drafting applications and defending matters in the County Court and High Court.

Outside of her work in the Employment team, Olivia is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Olivia also actively participates in several pro-bono initiatives, including "Tutormate" (assisting children in disadvantaged areas to build their confidence and enjoyment in reading) and "Not Beyond Redemption" (a charity which provides legal advice to mothers in prison) and is committed to improving social mobility in the local community.
