Rebecca is an Associate in the Energy and Construction group with experience in supporting clients across both non-contentious and contentious matters. She assists on projects within the energy, technology and building sectors and her work spans both national and international matters. Rebecca has experience in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution, including in adjudication, Technology and Construction Court litigation and Court of Appeal litigation.

Experience
  • Acting on behalf of a joint venture contractor at Hinkley Point C, the UK’s first nuclear new build in a generation, in respect of the defence of a series of adjudications and subsequent successful defence of TCC enforcement proceedings.
  • Representing of an international EPC contractor in the defence of TCC litigation in respect of claims arising out of the termination of a contract for the design, build and construction of a data centre.
  • Acting for a major contractor in an adjudication concerning fire safety issues.
  • Assisting on a multi-party dispute arising from building defects, including advising on recovery claims under the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Advising on delay and extension of time provisions under NEC contracts.
  • Preparing consultant appointments and collateral warranties in connection with remedial works projects.
