Eric has extensive experience as coverage counsel for insurers. He enjoys the challenge of breaking down complex legal problems into clear, realistic solutions that are tailored to client objectives.

Before joining Clyde & Co, Eric spent several years as in-house coverage counsel at a leading Canadian property and casualty insurer. This background affords him a unique perspective into the business of insurance and the practical challenges facing insurer clients. Drawing from this experience, he strives to provide representation that is pragmatic, timely, and effective. 

Eric offers a full range of coverage services. His skillset includes policy drafting and development, and he has assisted underwriters in crafting innovative insurance products from the ground up. He has special interest in the investigation, defence and recovery of fraudulent claims. He also maintains an active litigation practice and has represented insurers in several leading Ontario cases.
