Zihao specialises in dispute resolution with a focus on maritime law, international trade, and corporate and commercial matters. He has extensive experience  advising state-owned financial leasing companies, insurers, banks, trust institutions, and multinational corporations. His practice covers both litigation and arbitration, while also encompassing non-contentious work such as due diligence and compliance guideline preparation.. In addition, Zihao has acted as legal counsel to enterprises and governmental authorities, drafting and reviewing contracts and delivering legal opinions.

He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Shanghai Maritime University and later earned a Master of Laws degree from the National University of Singapore. 

Zihao is fluent in both Chinese and English. He is qualified as a lawyer in Mainland China and admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales.

Experience
  • Represented a state-owned financial leasing company in initiating maritime arbitration and related litigation arising from a cross-border ship financing lease dispute.
  • Acted for a state-owned insurance company in claims arising from a three-vessel collision, including litigation proceedings.
  •  Provided legal opinions to a state-owned bank on disputes under guarantee contracts.
  • Issued PRC law opinions to a Singapore-based company on recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Mainland China.
  • Supported a Guangdong state-owned enterprise in equity acquisition, including due diligence review.
  • Drafted overseas anti–commercial bribery compliance guidelines for a central state-owned enterprise.
  • Assisted administrative authorities of a pilot free trade zone and an international business cooperation zone with contract review, legal consultations, and major administrative decision-making matters.
