Nawaf specialises in international arbitration and dispute resolution, with experience in supporting complex domestic and international arbitration proceedings, including construction and commercial disputes.
Nawaf is a licensed lawyer in Saudi Arabia and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from United Arab Emirates University.
Nawaf was a member of the Scientific Committee involved in the SCCA project preparing the Kingdom’s country report on arbitration for UNCITRAL’s initiative to update the Digest of the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration (2006 revision).
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Nawaf served as Senior Case Counsel at the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), where he administered a wide range of arbitration cases. He also served as an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University Abu Dhabi and as a Saudi delegate to the United Nations in UNCITRAL Working Group II.
Nawaf is fluent in Arabic and English.
