Joel Brodfuehrer

Joel Brodfuehrer is a litigation attorney licensed in both California and Arizona whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including insurance defense, professional practices defense, and retail and consume defense. As a Senior Associate with Clyde & Co., he represents clients through all phases of litigation, from written and testimonial discovery through dispositive motion practice, settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial. His experience includes substantial motion practice, oral advocacy, client counseling, and case strategy development in high-exposure disputes.

Joel developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy through his service with the Arizona Court of Appeals, where he served as a judicial clerk to Judge Paul McMurdie and previously externed for Judge Philip Espinosa. In those roles, he analyzed appellate records, reviewed briefs, conducted legal research across a wide range of subject areas, and assisted in drafting appellate opinions and memorandum decisions. Prior to joining Clyde & Co., he practiced at large firms in both California and Arizona, managing a significant caseload and representing clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and dispositive motion proceedings.

Joel earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he was a member of the prestigious Arizona Law Review. During law school, he received multiple academic and advocacy honors, served in legal clinic, and gained courtroom experience representing clients. His background in appellate work, trial advocacy, and civil litigation provides him with a well-rounded perspective in representing clients throughout every stage of the litigation process.
