Jonathan is a Legal Director in the firm’s Marine, Trading and Commodities department.
He advises clients across the commodities, shipping and superyacht sectors with a particular focus on risk management and dispute resolution. He has considerable experience conducting and resolving disputes before the English High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, as well as in arbitrations under the LMAA, LCIA, GAFTA, FOSFA, SAL, RSA and FCC rules.
Jonathan acts for shipowners, charterers and leading international commodities houses on a wide range of bill of lading, charterparty and sale contract disputes, and regularly advises clients on live issues arising during the transit of goods. He also has extensive experience representing owners and builders in major construction and repair disputes involving superyachts and large commercial vessels.
In addition, Jonathan advises banks, technology companies, logistics groups and freight forwarders on a broad range of international commercial agreements, particularly in the logistics and freight forwarding sectors, as well as on regulatory issues relating to the transport of goods by sea and by land. He also assists clients with general commercial litigation.
