Da-Shon A. Dixon is a member of the North American FIDO/Professional Liability Practice Group. His practice focuses on professional liability coverage counseling and litigation. Da-Shon litigates professional liability coverage disputes on behalf of insurers, including the prosecution of declaratory judgment actions, actions to rescind insurance policies, the defense of breach of contract actions, the defense of actions seeking bad faith and/or extra-contractual damages, and actions between insurers to resolve allocation and relative priority issues.
Da-Shon advises insurers on all aspects of the claim resolution process, including the provision of coverage opinions, the allocation of indemnity payments, strategies to minimize the risk of bad faith and/or extra-contractual damages, and the collection of consent judgments. He also advises insurers as monitoring counsel.
Previously, Da-Shon represented insurers in connection with insurance coverage counseling and litigation involving claims under professional liability, directors' and officers' liability, and various other types of policies.
