Full Profile

Michelle Gonikman focuses her practice  on litigation and arbitration, with experience representing clients in complex commercial and insurance disputes. Michelle regularly handles matters involving the energy, marine, and cargo sectors, as well as reinsurance disputes and personal injury claims. She also has experience advising on insurance coverage issues arising from marine/cargo insurance, securities litigation and directors’ and officers’ liability. Her work spans all stages of litigation, from pre suit strategy through discovery, motion practice, and resolution.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Michelle gained experience in the insurance, nonprofit, and public interest sectors. Her background includes work involving credit insurance, immigration and refugee representation, and domestic violence litigation, which strengthened her advocacy skills and ability to manage sensitive and high-stakes matters.
