Sophia is a Senior Associate in the insurance and dispute resolution team in our Munich office. Sophia specialises in litigation, international arbitration and all other forms of dispute resolution as well as insurance law, particularly in the financial and professional lines (D&O, W&I, PI) and general/product liability. Sophia focuses on complex domestic and multi-jurisdictional (re-)insurance claims and disputes.

Sophia studied law at the University of Munich. She holds a LL.M. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, and stayed as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge, UK, as well as the Université Laval in Quebec, Canada. Sophia was awarded a doctorate (Dr iur) from the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. She worked as research associate at both Munich universities and as a lecturer. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Sophia also worked for another renowned international law firm in the fields of insurance law, commercial litigation and arbitration and as a state court judge in Munich.

Sophia is admitted to the German Bar (Rechtsanwältin). A native German speaker, she is also fluent in English.
