James (Jim) Hicks is a trial lawyer with a focus on insurance coverage, personal injury, product liability, construction, real estate, and mass tort litigation. Jim brings extensive experience representing both claimants and defendants, guiding clients through mediation, arbitration, and every stage of litigation, including trial. He also serves as an arbitrator in the Mandatory Arbitration programs for local superior courts.
Before qualifying as a lawyer, Jim served as an officer in the US Navy. As a Surface Warfare Officer, he managed complex operations including ship navigation, weapons systems, refueling, small boat operations, engineering inspections, and government contracts. He also taught ROTC and coached sailing, demonstrating leadership and precision under pressure.
