Konrad Krebs is a commercial trial and appellate lawyer representing insurance carriers and businesses in complex commercial, insurance, and bad faith litigation. Konrad focuses his practice on disputes involves large exposures and emerging issues of law that are likely to impact future industry disputes. As part of this practice, Konrad frequently represents insurance clients in emerging mass tort, environmental, and extracontractual exposures.

Konrad advises insurers in coverage disputes under all types of policies, including commercial general liability, directors' & officers', errors and omissions, employers’ liability, professional liability, excess, and aviation policies. Konrad has been at the forefront of some of the most contentious insurance disputes of the past decade, guiding clients through a litany of major mass tort bankruptcies, multidistrict litigation, and coverage disputes receiving industry-wide attention.

Apart from his work for insurers, Konrad has also represented corporate clients and corporate officers in litigation arising out of myriad commercial disputes and has secured successful outcomes for clients in state and federal courts throughout the country. Konrad has further represented clients with interested stakes in impact litigation, drafting and submitting amicus curiae briefs, including in the United States Supreme Court.

  • Represented insurers in mass tort bankruptcies, including a large national youth organization, insurance company, large pharmaceutical chain, and various religious organization-in their bankruptcies.
  • Represented insurer involving exposure in excess of USD 100 million regarding insured's disclosure of protected disability information.
  • Defeated reasonableness of consent judgment on resolution of numerous claims of abuse against nonprofit.
  • Represented insurer in coverage dispute involving disclosure of employee biometric information in violation of privacy statutes.
  • Obtained trial verdict valued at over USD 2 million in dispute between commercial tenant and its landlord.
  • Represented retailer on appeal in an issue of first impression in unfair competition lawsuit regarding attorneys’ fees award, resulting in the reversal of trial court decision and client receiving a full fee award.
  • Successfully prosecuted breach of complex commercial agreement series regarding production of commercial media.
  • Obtained dismissal of bad faith claims against excess insurers in litigation against national youth organization bankruptcy trust.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of insurers in coverage litigation against opioid manufacturer bankruptcy trust
  • Obtained judgment on the pleadings in favor of insurer against commercial builder and claimants; affirmed on appeal.
  • Obtained dismissal of lawsuit against corporate officer seeking damages arising out of company's insolvency.
  • Obtained summary judgment for excess insurer in lawsuit seeking insurance coverage for malicious prosecution settlement by a county government.
  • As appellate counsel, obtained remittitur of bad faith verdict on constitutional grounds.
  • Defeated preliminary injunction seeking to halt use of intellectual property.
