Fareed has a range of experience in the Middle East in trade credit insurance, debt collection and finance roles. He has a particular focus on trade credit insurance recoveries and claims, with a deep knowledge and expertise in trade credit disputes, coverage and international trading business from his years spent working in the credit insurance and finance industries.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Fareed was Head of Collections GCC at Euler Hermes Middle East, leading the collection and overdue management team in the region. Previously, he worked as a Collections Manager in Gulf Finance, Dubai.
Fareed holds a Bachelor of Business Management in Marketing Degree from Arab American University (2006) and an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Middlesex University, Dubai (2019).
Fareed is fluent in Arabic and English languages.
Experience
- Collection and Debt Recovery Management: Over 14 years of collection and recoveries experience in regional finance and credit insurance sectors. Worked in various collection and recoveries positions starting as a Collection Officer and progressing to be a Head of Collections for the Middle East.
- Trade Credit Insurance: Excellent working knowledge of trade credit insurance, understanding various matters for international trade credit insurers on coverage disputes, pre-litigation steps and recovery actions.
- Financial Management: Technical knowledge of the finance industry in general, and more specifically of credit and collection. Knowledge of processes and operations involved in financial institutions, including inter-departmental relationships and cooperation.
- International Business Trading: Excellent working knowledge of the international and local market, including trade credit, commercial, SME, vehicle finance and finance leasing companies.
