Nisha is a Legal Director in our UK Projects and Construction Group, specialising in non-contentious domestic and international construction projects. She has experience advising clients on and working with a variety of contracts (FIDIC, NEC, PPC, TPC, JCT and bespoke). She is experienced in major projects, advising two contractor clients independently involved with two of the UK’s battery gigaplants and a JV contractor in relation to the development of two stations as part of the high-speed rail line.
Nisha provides support to large contractors (those falling within the top ten in the UK) on infrastructure schemes, stepping down main contracts, assisting with supply chain issues such as novation of other contractor’s contract, appointments/engagement, target cost mechanisms, vesting, advance payments and project bank accounts etc. She regularly reviews contracts between the public sector and contractors (generally based on FAC/NEC) and provides advice regarding stepping down the same (including where JVs are involved). Whilst her clients are mostly contractors, Nisha is also experienced advising end-users such as asset backed investment funds, a UK automotive manufacturer, and a leading international oil and gas company.
Nisha is Chair Governor for a local junior School.
