Alexander (Alex) Ross has extensive experience representing insurers nationwide at all stages of insurance coverage disputes and litigation, including counseling and representing insurers regarding duties to defend, tender, trigger, allocation, reformation, rescission and bad faith.

Alex represents and counsels insurers on a variety of first and third party liability issues, including those arising under property, commercial general liability, professional liability, directors' and officers' liability, multi-risk policies with multiple coverage parts, non-profit liability, commercial auto, inland marine and builder's risk polices. He has extensive experience in all aspects of first-party property claims, including disputes concerning physical loss and damage, business interruption claims and mold and pollution exposures. In addition, Alex counsels insurers regarding fine art, specie and jewelers' block coverages as part of the North American Specialty & Investigations team. He has successfully represented insurers in litigation nationwide, in both state and federal courts, including obtaining judicial determinations regarding defense and indemnity obligations. Alex has defended clients at trial and on appeal where policyholders contested disclaimers of first-party property losses, disputed first-party valuation and business interruption calculations, sought reformation or have alleged bad faith.

Alex was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Randye A. Kogan (Ret.) in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (2004-2006).
