Jade Reuveny is an Associate in the Financial Institutions and Directors & Officers team at Clyde & Co. She assists on complex coverage and defence matters arising under financial lines policies, with a focus on directors’ and officers’ liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Jade graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Security Studies and joined Clyde & Co as a Law Clerk in 2024, progressing to Associate in 2025.

Jade assists on a broad range of coverage and defence matters, including multi‑party commercial litigation, securities class actions, regulatory investigations and high‑value construction disputes. She works closely with senior practitioners on issues relating to policy construction and coverage response, including exclusions, allocation, non‑disclosure and defence costs.

She regularly supports insurers with coverage advice and claims monitoring, including detailed defence cost assessments and analysis of indemnity exposure across primary and excess layers. Jade has also assisted in defending directors and companies in claims brought by regulators, shareholders and liquidators, often involving allegations of breaches of directors’ duties, misleading or deceptive conduct and statutory breaches.

Jade is known for her strong analytical skills, drawing on her background in intelligence analysis to manage large volumes of complex information and contribute to clear, commercially focused advice. She is also a passionate Strategy Lead in the Clyde & Co Disability, Neurodiversity and Accessibility Employee Resource Group. 

Experience

Insurance & Reinsurance

Advised insurers on coverage across complex, litigated PI and Director & Officer claims, analysing allocation issues in high‑value, multi‑party disputes.  

Financial Institutions

• Acted on claims involving alleged broker negligence, non‑disclosure and statutory breaches, with extensive factual investigations and allegations of non-disclosure

Directors & Officers Liability

• Acted as coverage counsel in significant ASIC whistleblower proceedings, supporting defence cost management for multiple directors and advising on conduct exclusions and indemnity exposure.  
• Advised on D&O and POSI allocation issues in shareholder class action

Professional Indemnity

• Advised on coverage for alleged defective works and professional negligence claims, assessing allegations of breach, misleading conduct and insured versus uninsured loss.  
• Defending professional negligence claims against insurance brokers, lawyers, investment managers and financial advisers.
• Acted in large‑scale, multi‑party construction disputes exceeding $350 million, concerning various alleged design and construction defect issues and involving technical evidence.

Class Actions

• Advising underwriters on coverage in respect of securities claims against ASX listed companies including Worley, Nuix and Downer.
