Charles Smith is a consultant at Clyde & Co and specialises in marine insurance, shipping/transport litigation and dispute resolution, principally on behalf of marine cargo insurers.  Charles handles litigation before the Commercial and Admiralty Courts in London and before London Arbitration Tribunals, including the LMAA.

Charles Smith handles cases arising out of vessel casualties (including collisions, groundings, total loss sinking and engine breakdown) and high value/complex cargo damage claims.  Charles also handles a large volume of medium size cargo recovery claims for leading marine insurers, particularly in the Korean and Indian markets.
