Jessica Stone is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on representing clients in complex commercial disputes and the defense of products liability, general liability, personal injury, and wrongful death matters. Having served as a member of several trial teams in both state and federal courts, Jessica is skilled at all stages of litigation from inception through trial, including alternative dispute resolution.

Leveraging Specialized Legal Disciplines 
After law school, Jessica began her career at a respected Plaintiff’s firm specializing in handling complex civil litigation, mass torts, and toxic torts. While there, she represented clients in litigation involving products liability, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death claims. Jessica now leverages this experience in litigating similar matters on behalf of clients in the aviation and retail spaces.

Jessica is similarly able to utilize her background as a business litigator while handling commercial disputes. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Jessica gained extensive experience litigating highly contentious commercial disputes, including corporate and shareholder disputes, on behalf of clients in the real estate, hospitality, and entertainment industries. Her previous experience also included handling intellectual property disputes for high-profile clients in the film and music industries.

Jessica leverages that knowledge to help her clients achieve their litigation and business objectives, whether through trial or strategic settlement negotiations.

• Prevailed on motion for summary judgment on behalf of Public Entity, granted in action involving wrongful death of a minor, valued by Plaintiffs at USD 35 million.
• Defeated summary judgment motion brought by target defendant in multi-party products liability litigation, ultimately yielding a recovery of USD 4.9 million.
• Second-chaired federal jury trial related to alleged copyright infringement of film and screenplay.
• Negotiated and drafted USD 1 million Settlement Agreement in favor of Talent Managers related to A-List Rap Artist’s breach of Talent Management Agreement and counterclaims asserting violations of the Talent Agency Act.
• Secured dismissal of federal case on behalf of Music Publisher related to Songwriters’ pre-termination grant of rights in song.
• Represented majority shareholders against claims of alleged “freeze out” scheme in derivative suit brought by minority shareholder and LLC.
• Second-chaired bench trial of shareholder dispute action before Delaware Court of Chancery, representing prevailing party, member of LLC whose membership shares were improperly. cancelled.
• Successfully opposed motion for summary judgment, representing Filmmakers in copyright infringement case against Network based on Network’s alleged use of film trailers in marketing campaign.
• Successfully confirmed arbitration awards in favor of international Provider of Coworking Spaces.
