Stephen qualified in 2016 and joined the firm in 2017. Stephen handles high-value and complex motor and liability claims within the Large Loss and Catastrophic Injury Department within our Casualty Practice.

Stephen specialises in large loss and catastrophic injury cases for major insurers and clients, including complex road traffic, employer and public liability claims, product liability claims and claims with a cross-border/jurisdictional element.

He is a member our Amputation Subject Matter Group and the FOIL Employer's Liability Sector Focus Team.

Stephen also sits on the Governing Board of a local primary school.

Experience

• Regularly instructed in relation to accidents which have occurred on construction sites and involve multiple defendants;
• Experience of working on high-profile cases which have attracted media attention;
• Successful repudiation of claim presented against well-known bar/restaurant chain following a customer fall down internal staircase;
• Successful defence of employer's liability claim presented against a national maintenance company; 
• Acted in large loss cases in which fundamental dishonesty has been pleaded;
• Experience of dealing with claims involving fatalities and amputations.
