Lindsay practices generally in the area of insurance defence, with specializations in professional liability and occupier’s liability
Lindsay frequently acts as counsel for architects, engineers, mortgage and insurance brokers, health and wellness professionals, stratas, landlords, bars and restaurants, large retail operations and maintenance companies. A large portion of her practice involves personal injury defence.
Lindsay has experience representing clients at all levels of court in Canada. She has appeared in provincial and supreme court, in both trial and chambers. She also has experience practicing in several administrative tribunals, including the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Civil Resolutions Tribunal. She has significant experience with mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Lindsay enjoys being involved in the legal community, particularly with respect to student development. She has provided seminars to various industry groups on topics including builders liens and professional standards of care. She also volunteers as a moot court judge at the UBC Allard School of Law, and has been a guest lecturer at Thompson Rivers University School of Law.
