Clyde & Co’s announced today that Robert Ansehl has joined their New York office to build the Corporate Insurance practice in the USA.
"The transactional and regulatory issues facing the re/insurance industry increasingly require legal support that is highly specialised and can transcend national borders” said Andrew Holderness, Global Head of the Corporate Insurance Group. “We are delighted that Robert has joined us, adding further strength and depth to our corporate insurance offering around the world.
“We offer a unique proposition for the market – far ahead of that of our competitors. In London we have the largest team of corporate insurance lawyers, and we can now offer support in North and South America, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia.”
Robert Ansehl commented "The insurance industry is dealing with some of the biggest challenges it has faced for decades – reserving, the implementation of new accounting standards, Solvency II, heightened regulation in the US – the list is extensive. Clients need the support of highly talented insurance specialists and Clyde & Co’s longstanding platform of dedicated practitioners focused on this market provides the ideal practice synergy.
“Our focus in the USA will be to build a center of specialized industry expertise, and I am excited to collaborate with my new colleagues across the world in further developing this unique proposition for insurance clients.”
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Robert Ansehl was a partner at Nixon Peabody.
