Manoj is a Senior Associate in the APAC Aviation Team and is based in the Singapore office. His practice focuses on dispute resolution, insurance and regulatory matters in the aviation industry, acting for (re)insurance companies, airlines and aviation service providers.
He is an experienced Singapore-qualified disputes lawyer, having started practice specialising in general insurance disputes and coverage advisory work. He thereafter rose through the ranks to associate director at a Big Four law firm in Singapore, specialising in multi-jurisdictional and domestic commercial disputes, in the spaces of insurance, corporate, investment, construction and technology. Throughout, he has been active in trial and appellate matters before all levels of the Singapore courts and in international arbitration proceedings, gaining deep familiarity with the various forums, including negotiation and mediation.
In the aviation industry, apart from advising clients on liability issues in the APAC region, Manoj brings the ability to act as advocate before the Singapore courts holding a practicing certificate, as well as in institutional or ad hoc arbitration.
Manoj sits on the Law Society of Singapore’s Professional Indemnity Committee advising on the scheme for mandatory professional indemnity insurance for lawyers. He is also a Neutral Evaluator for the LSNEDS-FIDReC and LSNEDS-CASE schemes.
He is fluent in both English and Hindi.

- Advising an insurer over liability and subrogation rights over a ground handling incident at a Canadian airport.
- Acting for a national flag carrier in pursuing and defending a claim arising from a high-profile ground collision in Japan.
- Advising a reinsurer on a turbulence incident affecting a national flag carrier in the middle east.
- Acted for a North American aircraft management and brokerage firm in defending claims upwards of S$10 million before the Singapore High Court, with satellite arbitration before the SIAC over the termination of an aircraft management contract.
- Advised a PRC airport equipment manufacturer on an SIAC arbitration, and negotiations, in a dispute with a German MNC.
- Advised an Indian property magnate on Interpol’s processes, and Singapore’s extradition and mutual legal assistance laws, in the context of treaty obligations under the UN Convention against Corruption.
