Elie is a legal director in Clyde & Co’s corporate group. He advises multinational corporations, foreign investors and local businesses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), disposals, joint ventures (JVs), restructurings, foreign direct investment (FDI), corporate governance and compliance, and general corporate matters. Elie focuses on Saudi Arabia.
Elie has advised on a number of corporate transactions, working with clients operating in the healthcare, hospitality, insurance and reinsurance, professional practice, retail and consumer, and trade and commodities sectors.
Elie is a member of the Beirut Bar Association. He graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in banking and finance law from Université Panthéon Assas - Paris II, France in 2013, a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in private and business law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2011, and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2010.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Elie worked at PwC Legal Middle East, international and regional law firms as well as a global company in Saudi Arabia.
Elie is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
