Alexander joined Clyde & Co in 2016 and is part of Clyde & Co's International Arbitration team. He has represented clients, including a government, state owned entities and companies, based in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the United States.
Alexander works on a diverse range of contentious matters and his work often relates to high-value, international and multi-jurisdictional disputes. He has experience of litigation in the English Courts and both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations, including arbitrations governed by the LCIA, UNCITRAL, and ICC rules.
Alexander has particular experience in commercial disputes in the energy sector. However, he has worked on a range of commercial disputes and also has experience of regulatory and criminal matters.

Acting for a State in an ICC arbitration worth in excess of US$8 million concerning a dispute related to a State-wide power generation project
Acting for a State in an ad hoc arbitration worth in excess of US$18 million governed by the UNCITRAL rules concerning a dispute related to a State-wide power generation project
Conducting an internal investigation into allegations of bribery in respect of the purchase and sale of oil and gas fields in Africa
Advising a UK company in respect of an SFO investigation into allegations of bribery in respect of an energy project in Africa
Advising a major international oil & gas industry contractor in respect of the potential termination of contracts worth approximately US$250m relating to the provision of oilfield services in India
Acting for a UK company in an LCIA arbitration in respect of the termination of an agency relationship
Acting for a UK company in respect of a criminal investigation by a local authority
