Laura is a Senior Partner in the Construction & Projects team and a Global Management Board member of the international law firm, Clyde & Co LLP.
 
She is ranked as a Tier 1 lawyer by both Legal 500 and Chambers Global.
 
Laura's non contentious construction workload includes advising on, drafting and negotiating, standard form and bespoke contracts and appointments and working as project counsel. 
 
Her contentious workload includes advising on, and representation in,  international and domestic arbitrations (particularly those under the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and QICCA Rules), mediation and expert determination as well as advising on court proceedings.

• Advising a major international contactor in high value Qatar seat ICC Arbitration proceedings with Employer in relation to a major infrastructure project;
• Acting for a joint venture contractor in an ICC arbitration arising out of a prestigious road project in Qatar commenced by its Subcontractor;
• Acting for an international contractor in relation to a complex, high value ICC arbitration proceedings arising out of its termination as Contractor at a large infrastructure project;
• Acting for an international contractor/JV in an arbitration in relation to claims arising out of a large infrastructure facility;
• Acting for international contractor in relation to five subcontractor brought arbitrations arising out of large infrastructure projects in Qatar;
• Acting for international contractor JV in relation to ICC arbitration against employer in relation to high profile health care complex;
• Acting for international contractor in relation to claims brought against it by subcontractor at commercial and residential complex;
• Acting for international consultant in relation to QICCA mediation in relation to residential project;
• Acting for an international consultant in an ICC arbitration commenced by its sub-consultant in relation to services provided; and
• Acting for a UAE based security company in an ad hoc arbitration under Qatar law in an arbitration commenced against it by its Qatar based agent.
