Mehreen Nadeem is a litigator focused on client satisfaction and outcome-driven advocacy in commercial cases. Mehreen has represented sophisticated clientele for Fortune 100 companies and global corporations including a global coffee corporation, an American pharmacy chain, a leading American commercial real estate firm, local counsel for a multi-billion electronics manufacturer, and other large corporations. Mehreen maintains a multi-jurisdictional practice in the US and has worked on cross-jurisdictional matters as well. 

Mehreen has achieved several notable outcomes including settling a USD 19 million premise liability claim for several Fortune 500 companies, resolving a multi-million product liability claim against an American manufacturer for a consumer product defect claim and achieving a USD 1.7 million arbitration award for a construction company in a breach of contract case. She has secured summary judgment on several state court matters for commercial disputes and has successfully achieved reaffirmed rulings in the court of appeals. 

With a commercial focus, Mehreen has defended cases in breach of contract and fiduciary duty, product liability, premise liability, and professional malpractice claims. Settlements and Achievements

• Successfully settled USD 19 million premise liability dispute by defending several Fortune 500 companies including a global coffee corporation, a national pharmacy chain with global reach, and one of the largest independently owned commercial real estate firms in the United States by providing strategic advice to in-house counsels and guiding corporate executives. 
  • Defended corporate executives, employees, and representatives in several 30(b)(6) depositions and direct examined plaintiffs in personal depositions.
  • Argued motions in state court to obtain denial of plaintiff’s protective order and dispositive motion. Strategically obtained relevant plaintiff records through discovery motions.
  • Managed and conducted over 200 hours of discovery relating to corporate governance, internal policies, and business records including drafting, reviewing, and responding to interrogatories and request for production.
  • Participated in mock trial and assessed liability and exposure from mock jury results.
  • Updated litigation strategy based on outcome of filed motions and provided guidance to clients through mediation to settle matter for USD 4.9 million with no liability admission. 
• Achieved USD 1.7 million arbitration award for a construction contractor by prevailing on claims for wrongful termination and recovering damages for unpaid invoices and lost profits against project construction builder.
• Routinely defended sophisticated clients including Fortune 500 companies, global corporations, business executives, manufacturers, and professionals in complex litigation cases exceeding USD 50 million in exposure encompassing director and officer (D&O) claims, premises liability, product liability, and consumer protection claims. 
• Analyzed CC&Rs, bylaws, and governance documents to defend corporate representatives in multi-million claim for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duties. 
• Served as local counsel for multi-billion global electronics manufacturer in trademark dispute. 
• Achieved summary judgment dismissal in a legal malpractice dispute in state court and successfully prepared respondent’s reply brief for the court of appeals to receive reaffirmation of judgment. 
• Represented Italian and German supercar manufacturers in product quality and warranty disputes by arbitrating through the Better Business Bureau.
