Clyde & Co and Airmic
We are proud to be an Associate Partner for the leading professional body for insurance and risk managers in the UK, Airmic. At Clyde & Co we advise insurers, brokers and policyholders across the UK and globally.
Where there is opportunity, there is risk. As the business landscape constantly evolves, you need a legal partner with an in-depth understanding of how to best address and navigate the risks you face. By placing clients at the centre of everything we do, we combine specialist market experience with market-leading relationship management. A service that is tailored to your needs, based on an understanding of your claims philosophies and underwriting appetite, as well as the capital, operational and regulatory issues you face, is of paramount importance.

With nearly a century of experience at the heart of global commerce, our global partnership provides a platform that offers rapid access to expertise wherever you operate in the world. With an integrated team of disputes, regulatory and transactional lawyers, we see each issue from every angle, bringing our knowledge of navigating commercial and legal risk to help you succeed.
Committed to supporting corporate clients, we are also proud of our deep-rooted presence in the general insurance sector, the Lloyd’s and London Market, and among brokers.
Having been an active member of Airmic for over 10 years, our passion about our affiliation is shown in us accepting an invitation to become an Associate Partner. The Airmic conference is a key programme in our events schedule, with a cross section of our firm in attendance each year, including our Casualty, Professional Indemnity, Insurance Financial and Professional Disputes, Healthcare, Cyber Risk and Employment teams.
As part of our Associate Partner status we regularly contribute to white papers and conference sessions. Drawing on our experience of working with and for insurance and risk managers across a range of sectors, we pro-actively offer ideas and suggestions on a range of topics for the benefit of the membership.
Insurance Emerging Risk uncovered
Our Insurance Emerging Risk programme equipes our global insurance clients with clear insight into fast evolving risks, emerging liabilities, and their legal and insurance implications. They often evolve from a complex relationship between four main drivers: geopolitics, law and regulation, science and technology, and environmental factors. They tend to operate on a global level, with AI and climate change influencing almost every aspect of life. In our rapidly evolving world, new risks are constantly presenting themselves. A lack of data on these risks, makes it difficult to model and quantify their impact, which can vary greatly across the developed and developing world.
In 2026, we are expanding the programme, drawing on the expertise of a worldwide network of specialists and leading industry voices, deeper insights will be offered into the issues demanding global insurers’ attention. Our highly successful webinar series will have more live sessions at times that work for a global audience. As ever, the series is designed to help our global insurer clients to anticipate change, manage exposure and seize opportunities. We will provide international analysis of: social media addiction, space, next-generation nuclear technologies, sanctions regimes, head office liability and the rise of litigation funding.
