Three partners from Clyde & Co have swapped their suits for running shoes, successfully completing the world-famous Marathon du Médoc in Bordeaux, France.
As a result, the trio have raised an impressive £3,500 for children’s charity Go Beyond, more than doubling their original fundraising target of £1,500.
Partners Paul Wainwright, Edward Sainsbury, and David Tait took on the unique 26.2-mile challenge earlier this month, renowned for its scenic vineyard route, wine tastings, local delicacies, and vibrant fancy dress. The group’s determination and team spirit saw them cross the finish line together dressed as sailors, cheered on by colleagues, friends and family.
The fundraising effort was part of Clyde & Co’s partnership with Go Beyond, a charity that gives children and young people facing serious challenges the chance for a break that lasts a lifetime. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the firm’s global matched giving scheme, the team exceeded their goal, raising vital funds to help more children experience life-changing opportunities.
Paul Wainwright commented: “Running the Marathon du Médoc was an unforgettable experience – full of vintage views, great company, and a few glasses of wine along the way! We’re incredibly proud to have completed the challenge and, most importantly, to have raised funds for such a fantastic cause. Every step was dedicated to making a difference for Go Beyond.”
Clyde & Co congratulates Paul, Edd, and David on their achievement and thanks everyone who supported their fundraising journey.
