1. Introduction
Clyde & Co has been at the forefront of the climate change conversation for many years, and we have analysed the developments that took place in Glasgow during COP26. Through a range of articles, blogs, reports, and podcasts we have explored a range of themes and areas.
The negotiations at the COP26 climate summit that took place in Glasgow in November 2021 were highly significant. This was the fifth COP since the Paris Agreement, and it was time for ambitions around tackling climate change to be ratcheted up.
In this report, we look at some of the key issues addressed at, and outcomes of, COP26 and its associated events and initiatives. We provide a perspective on their significance, what opportunities and threats they present, and what policy-makers and businesses in particular need to be thinking about now in light of these developments to create a resilient future.
