London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2025 will be taking place between 2 – 6 June 2025 and we are delighted to be hosting this roundtable event to discuss the ethical considerations of the use of AI in arbitration.
We will be joined by Matthew Lavy KC (4 Pump Court), Dr Karen Seif (Habib Al Mulla and Partners), and Kateryna Honcharenko MCIArb who along with Clyde & Co’s Chris Williams (Partner) and Natalie Armstrong (Associate) will be discussing:
- the evolving regulatory framework;
- the importance of ensuring that AI systems used in dispute resolution are transparent, consistent, and fair;
- disclosure of reliance on AI in dispute resolution;
- bias and discrimination and how these can be minimised; and
- the ethical implications of delegating decision-making powers to AI and the safeguards necessary to ensure that human judgment remains paramount.
Join us for this compelling event to gain a deeper understanding of the ethical landscape of AI in dispute resolution and to engage with experts in the field. We look forward to your participation and to fostering a robust dialogue on these critical issues.
