As a Partner in our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team, Stephanie handles both liability and quantum matters dealing with a range of acquired brain injury, spinal injury, amputee, fatality and cerebral palsy claims in a range of RTA, EL/PL scenarios, including contributions in respect of potential clinical negligence. She also has a special interest in complex medical causation issues such as pre-natal injuries or injuries to very young children with cerebral palsy or other developmental disorders. Stephanie’s portfolio includes all values of cases, ranging from £500k to those pleaded in excess of £15m.
Stephanie is regularly instructed by a number of leading insurers and has recently favourably resolved a number of interesting cases including several amputee cases (adults and children), a long-running adolescent severe TBI case, child paraplegic case, a matter dealing with complex arguments in relation to the overlap between TBI and pre-existing Parkinson’s Disease and has recently achieved a successful fundamental dishonesty finding at trial.
Stephanie works collaboratively with Claimant law firm wherever possible to bring about the best resolution for the insurer and to encourage earlier settlement where appropriate.
